What is Open Floor Movement practice?

Open Floor is a conscious dance practice- there are no steps to follow, there is no right or wrong way to move. We let the rhythm of the music move us. We teach, practice and embody core movement resources as we dance.

We dance to express and resource ourselves and to come home to the wisdom of our body.

Whether you are a long time conscious dancer or the word dance really frightens you, I invite you to join us. Moving out of our comfort zone is how we grow.

Dancing to carefully crafted soundscapes, we move our thoughts, feelings and physical sensations as we embody resources for life.

Movement is essential. Movement is medicine.

So many people are walking around disconnected from their bodies. Open Floor helps us reconnect, to come back home.

Movement expresses and releases what our bodies hold and helps to regulate our nervous system.

OPEN FLOOR is a lively dance meditation, inquiry and therapeutic practice. We dance to feel, learn and grow. We dance for fuller expression of who we are. We dance to build connection and resilience. We dance to settle our nervous system and wake up to this one wild & precious life.













New Moon Dance Online

Rosh Chodesh Tishrei

Join in community as we welcome the new moon and new month. We embody themes of the month as we dance to a carefully crafted soundscape. We end with some time to write/draw/journal and share.

Thursday nights Open Floor Dance on Granville Island

5 week series Novemeber- December 2025.

We come together to settle and enliven our nervous systems this fall/winter. Dance is essential when the days get shorter and darker. We need to move all that we are with.

Individual Movement Sessions

A movement therapy session is a dedicated time and space to be witnessed, supported and guided towards fuller expression, as you embody resources for life.

I hold space for tuning into what is alive in you. Through movement we will come home to the body- accessing innate wisdom, expressing and releasing as we resource and settle the nervous system. I also incorporate other arts modalities such as drawing, painting, drumming, etc. when desired.
